Apple Vision Pro – HR Software Design

A futuristic HR software concept designed for Apple Vision Pro, built in Figma to reimagine attendance, leave tracking, and employee experience - all in one immersive interface.

Note: Open-source concept. Designed in Figma for next-gen wearable experiences. Full design is publicly available.

Timeline

1.5 Weeks – Design Completed (May 2024)

Role

UI/UX Designer & Product Thinker

Responsibilities

User research, interface strategy, futuristic UX design for visionOS, workflow prototyping, and interface system design.

How it started

While exploring the interaction possibilities of Apple Vision Pro, I began thinking about daily apps that could benefit from immersive 3D environments - HR software was top of mind. Attendance, leave tracking, employee data - all often feel like forms and tables. I wanted to change that.

Problem Statement

Most HR systems are designed for desktop or mobile. They often lack emotional connection, spatial efficiency, and smooth interactions. I saw a gap where immersive design could simplify processes like marking attendance, requesting leaves, and reviewing team summaries - especially in hybrid environments.

Design Process

The project began in Figma. I mapped core HR workflows: marking attendance, viewing payroll summaries, checking upcoming leaves, and accessing employee profiles. Then I explored how those could be enhanced in a 3D canvas. The layout uses visionOS design principles - spatial awareness, minimalistic interfaces, and large tap targets - to build something futuristic yet familiar. I relied heavily on auto-layout, design tokens, and component libraries to create a scalable system.

Solution Highlights

- A clean, dark mode UI to reduce cognitive overload - Real-time holographic attendance check-ins - Swipe-based leave approval workflows - Full HR dashboard in one immersive scene - Designed with voice and hand gesture control in mind - Future-ready layout: adaptable to mixed reality displays

Challenges

- Designing for a device that’s not yet widespread - Balancing functionality with spatial design - Creating intuitive experiences in unfamiliar UI paradigms - Avoiding the trap of “gimmicky” 3D - keeping things useful, not flashy

Impact & What’s Next

This concept pushes HR tools beyond traditional interfaces. While it’s speculative, it shows how emerging tech like Vision Pro can change how teams work. I’m currently exploring how to turn this design into a live prototype using Three.js or visionOS SDK once available.
